Ingrown Toenail Removal Surgery

First Ave Foot Clinic provides surgical options for recurrent ingrown toenails.  Toenail removal surgeries are preformed under local anaesthetic.  Once the toe is numb, the ingrown toenail is released and removed. The toenail matrix is phenolized to help prevent the toenail from re-growing. No incisions or stitches are required for this procedure. Surgical options include removing the entire toenail or just removing the sides of the toenail.

Tendon Release Surgery

Hammer toes are deformities that can lead to painful pressure sores.  Tendon release surgery can help reduce a flexible hammer toe. The surgery is performed under local anaesthetic and is minimally invasive.  A small incision is used to access and release the tendon. No stitches are needed for this procedure. A pre-operative consultation will determine if this procedure is right for you.
